The Seattle Executives Association (SEA) was founded in 1917 and is one of the oldest and most prestigious business networking organizations in the United States. Their mission is to facilitate high-quality business referrals and growth among an exclusive and curated group of business owners and executives.
As a 20+ year member of Seattle Execs, we recognized a recurring pain point within the chapter - the "Value Gap." While the group was high-functioning, it was difficult to quantify exactly how much business was being exchanged. Leads were tracked on paper slips, emails, and an outdated web interface - making it extremely time-consuming to generate accurate year-end reports or prove the value of membership to prospective associates.
SEA needed a "single source of truth" that could handle the unique requirements of a business networking group, specifically protected business categories and a closed-loop referral system.
Additionally, making website updates and managing membership accounts was time-consuming, cumbersome, and not mobile-friendly. Taking the Executive Director away from core duties or risk having an outdated web presence.
Using the knowledge from these discussions and our own experience, our team developed Biznomos to act as the digital backbone for association management. Instead of a generic CRM, we built a platform tailored to the executive networking model:
