Sales/Marketing

SUMMARY

This position is mainly responsible for acquiring new clients for web creation, domain, and hosting, as well as support existing clients.

Full Time
Hours: Mon-Fri 8 hours (flextime between 8 am to 7 pm)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • New customer development (Web Creation, Domain Hosting, San Diego Town Advertising, etc.).
  • Meets with clients to discuss our services if needed.
  • Document preparation such as proposals, estimates, and contracts.
  • Data entry and analysis for new and existing clients.
  • Communication with other departments within the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Project Coordinator

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for working with the R&D teams to understand and manage project timelines. They will also assist in communicating project expectations and timelines with the Sales and Support departments. As well as be the key point of contact with OEM partners to manage requests and work with stakeholders to prioritize needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Works with internal teams to identify the key solutions that add value to our offerings.
  • Maintains all projects on a regular basis, adjusting as needed should project priorities or deadlines shift.
  • Able to anticipate project challenges and suggest an action plan to mitigate delays and keep projects on schedule
  • Understands all R&D projects and available resources. Assists in establishing reasonable milestones between design, development, and QA.
  • Ensure proper technical specification documents (specs, blueprints, etc.) are prepared and maintained for every step of the project lifecycle.
  • Communicates project expectations with all project stakeholders throughout the company before, during, and after project completion.
  • Recipient of bug reports from our Sales/Support team. Prioritize, prepare/assign tickets, and keep the reporter informed on progress and delays.
  • Key liaison with OEM partners when it comes to receiving requests, working with PSPINC stakeholders to establish priorities, and communicating that back with partners.
  • Create detailed reporting and track metrics of project completion rate throughout the year
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's Degree from a two-year college or university, or equivalent from a certified technical college; one to two years of professional project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bilingual (Japanese/English) Web Application Tester

SUMMARY

Primary duty is to be responsible for the localization and testing of all Japanese products and services. Is accountable for ensuring all Japanese content speaks with a consistent and coherent voice. Also is the primary point person for all Japanese interface and functionality testing. Working closely with other Web Application Testers, Designers, Developers, and Project Managers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Localize content for websites, web applications, print media, and internal documentation from English to Japanese at a business level
  • Test and bug fix verification on Japanese websites, web applications, and interfaces. Then report any bugs found and work closely with teams to solve issues.
  • Reproduce any issues/bugs reported by customers and internal stakeholders
  • Post to Japanese company blogs and websites
  • Provides clear and concise feedback on bugs, usability and other test findings/results.
  • Distinguishes between user error and actual application bugs.
  • Defines project expectations and timelines for deliverables to fellow team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge of web design and web programming preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with Windows operating systems, MAC and Mobile devices.

  • Fluency in Japanese required.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Senior Software Engineer

SUMMARY

This position designs, develops and maintains new and existing web-based software to meet the needs of Pacific Software Publishing, Inc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Communicates with the sales department, researches and designs web programming specifications for customers.
  • Provides project estimates to the Applications Team Manager and Project Coordinator.
  • Provides specifications to managers, solicits feedback, and troubleshoots issues as needed.
  • Writes clean, maintainable, high quality code
  • Tests own code - not just unit testing, but E2E as well. Does not rely on QA teams to maintain quality.
  • The ability to help with complex front-end JavaScript solutions when needed.
  • Understanding of OOP
  • Develop functional and appealing web- and mobile-based applications based on usability
  • Provide website maintenance and enhancements
  • Use a combination of markup languages to write web pages
  • Write functional requirement documents and specifications
  • Create quality mockups and prototypes on tight timelines
  • Assist Front-end Developers and Designers with coding and troubleshooting
  • Assists Server Team in providing spec on server requirements for both new applications and upgrades to existing software.
  • Configures and manages web servers and databases (Apache, PHP, MySQL and more) on CentOS servers
  • Ensures all systems on servers meet the intended business requirements
  • Develops with a strong focus on high level software security
  • Documents server information, installation procedures and configurations

  • Interested and willing to work closely with Designers and Front-end Developers to create quality UI/UX for client and in-house applications
  • Can explain technical concepts to people from a non-technical background

  • Working knowledge of any flavor of RDBMS such as MySQL, SQL Server, Postgresql
  • Has experience working with source code management such as Git or SVN
