Bloguru Server maintenance with Downtime
Dear valued customers,
Around 8:00 AM US time on August 27, Bloguru experienced an access disruption, preventing users from viewing blog posts or submitting new ones.
Our investigation confirmed aggressive access attempts originating from two specific IP addresses in the United States. Additionally, we recently observed a sharp increase in access from crawlers. The combination of these factors caused a system overload, resulting in the temporary service outage.
As a countermeasure, we will implement a Bot Blocker. This will block access from malicious crawlers while allowing legitimate crawlers, such as Google, to continue accessing the site. As a result, unnecessary traffic will be reduced, helping to prevent performance delays and connection disruptions on Bloguru.
This upgrade will occur on:
*USA Pacific Daylight Time
- Sep 2th (Tue) 4:00pm-4:30pm
*Japan Time
- Sep 3th (Wed) 8:00am-8:30am
