A QR code* is a new type of barcode. It is 2-dimensional and can be quickly read by mobile devices with QR code readers installed. It is possible for you to store any kind of text in a QR code:
- Website addresses
- Contact information
- Product codes
Today, QR codes are commonly used to store a company's website address and printed in magazines or on business cards. Users simply start up the QR code reader on their mobile device, scan the code, and are redirected to the company's website automatically with just a few clicks.

PSP is currently working on a QR code project for ScannedCards.com. The idea behind ScannedCards.com is to use the QR code to store business contact information. The information is then stored on a secure and centralized site and users have the ability to update their own information. Users can print the QR codes on their business cards.
ScannedCards.com approached PSP with the task of developing the backend database to store all the contact information and provide a system to generate the QR codes for users. In addition, PSP designed the user interface for the database and the main company website. PSP also provides web and e-mail hosting services for the company.
