Getting Involved: Continued Latest News & Updates
PSP wants to help the many victims of the March 11, 2011 Earthquake and Tsunami recover from this unprecedented disaster.
In November 2011, Mayumi Nakamura, PSP, Inc.’s President and CEO, visited the Miyagi Prefecture in Japan, the epicenter of the Earthquake and Tsunami to see how PSP can help make a difference in rebuilding efforts. More than nine months after the tragedy, she witnessed first-hand the destruction left by this natural disaster: ships scattered on land, buildings completely destroyed, and debris everywhere. After this visit, Mayumi has a renewed sense of purpose and a desire to make a difference in these affected communities.
PSP will provide our readers with updates on PSP’s current involvement in helping the Tohoku region rebuild and share the stories Mayumi carried back from Japan. We support the rebuilding efforts and would like to see support for the people deeply affected by this tragedy continued by organizations in the United States and abroad. If you would like to find out what you can do to help, please email us, or call 1-800-232-3989.

Summer Experience in Seattle: 2012
One of the ways PSP is helping the disaster-stricken communities includes sponsoring our Summer Experience in Seattle program. We will host 8-12 junior high school students and teachers from the cities of Minami Sanriku-cho and Kesennuma (areas hit hardest by the disaster) in Seattle. On July 27 - August 7, 2012, PSP will bring these children to the US with the goal of helping them heal their scars and provide an opportunity to make lasting memories, while gaining hope for a brighter future.
PSP is grateful for the several organizations and corporations that are partnering with us to enrich the experience these children have while visiting this summer. You can find out more information about our Summer Experience in Seattle program and view a complete list of the organizations and corporations assisting PSP by visiting our Summer Experience in Seattle webpage.
